Biographies

Born in Blairmore, Alberta, Shelly received her Diploma in Music Performance in violin at Mount Royal College (Calgary) and her Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto). She studied with William van der Sloot and Lorand Fenyves, played in the Calgary Youth Orchestra and the Royal Conservatory Orchestra, performed in various chamber music groups, and eventually joined a rock band (Calgary's Axis of Conversation ). She enjoys improvising and can be heard on several local artists' albums as a side artist. She lives in Calgary with her husband, daughter, son, dog, and fish.

Cheryl was born and raised in Calgary and began her cello lessons at an early age with renowned pedagogue John Kadz. She breezed through the Academy Program at Mount Royal College and toured Europe with the Calgary Youth Orchestra as a teenager (which is when she met Shelly). A recent graduate of Interior Design at Mount Royal, Cheryl keeps herself sane by listening to Radiohead and playing in local band Axis of Conversation .
